MISSION 001 ·

MISSION 001

The water crisis is not only ecological. It is also cultural, emotional and deeply human.

The water crisis is not only ecological. It is also cultural, emotional and deeply human.

Beyond scarcity and infrastructure, it reveals a deeper disconnection from the ecosystems, memories and relationships that sustain life.

Be Hummyn is a nonprofit creative laboratory born in Latin America. Through creativity, culture and collective experiences, we bring together artists, researchers, designers, activists and changemakers to explore the questions shaping our time.

Mission 001: Bodies of Water is our first collective journey. It invites diverse voices to reconnect with water not only as a resource, but as memory, territory and life.

WE ARE LOSING OUR

RELATIONSHIP WITH WATER.

Water is often discussed through scarcity, infrastructure and climate statistics. Yet behind the crisis lies something deeper: a crisis of imagination, connection and culture.

As societies, we have forgotten that water is also memory, territory and a living bond between people and nature.

WHAT IF CREATIVITY COULD HELP US RECONNECT?

Mission 001 is an eight-week exploration bringing together artists, researchers, filmmakers, storytellers and creative voices from different territories.

Through conversations, shared experiences and creative practices, participants rediscover water through contemplation, beauty and collective imagination.

Not from fear, but from connection.

The Journey

Mission 001 unfolds through conversations, creative explorations and collective experiences that invite participants to reconnect with water through culture, memory and imagination.

Each encounter contributes to a growing archive of ideas, relationships and creative expressions that continue evolving beyond the mission itself.
